Jamaat Ameer thanks chief advisor and political figures
Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has expressed his sincere gratitude and thanks to the interim government’s chief advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. He expressed his gratitude in a post on his verified account on social media Facebook on Sunday (July 20). In the Facebook post, Jamaat Ameer wrote, “After I fell ill at the Suhrawardy Udyan meeting yesterday, the chief advisor inquired about my physical condition and also sent his press secretary to the hospital. I express my sincere gratitude and thanks. His sympathy will be memorable.” In another post, Jamaat Ameer expressed his gratitude to several political figures. In his status, he said that after receiving the news of his illness, many prominent people from home and abroad, including BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, and others, inquired about his health and prayed for him. During his short stay in the hospital, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee Member Dr. Abdul Moin Khan, Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor Shafiqul Alam and other top leaders of various political parties also met him. He further said that Islamic Movement Secretary General Maulana Yunus Ahmed, Khilafat Majlis Ameer Hazrat Maulana Abdul Basit Azad, Secretary General Dr. Ahmed Abdul Quader, Khilafat Movement, NCP, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and various Islamic and national leaders have inquired about his physical condition. Incidentally, while addressing the party’s national rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on Saturday, the Jamaat Ameer fell ill at one point and fell on the stage. He got up and spoke shortly after. Later, he was taken to the hospital after the rally ended.
