Cruise ship sinks in Vietnam, killing at least 38 people

A cruise ship sank in Vietnam after a sudden thunderstorm. At least 38 people lost their lives. So far, 12 people have been rescued alive. The accident occurred at around 1:30 pm local time on Saturday (July 19) in Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh province, northern Vietnam. CGTN reported. The report said that the ship sank shortly after being hit by the storm on Saturday. There were 48 passengers and 5 crew on board. Among the tourists were women and children. Most of the passengers had traveled there from the country’s capital, Hanoi.
