Section 144 imposed in Gopalganj after curfew

Section 144 has been imposed in Gopalganj after curfew. This restriction will be in effect from 6 am to 8 pm today, Sunday (July 20). The district administration said that any kind of meeting, procession and public gathering will be prohibited during this period. Students, government offices and emergency services will be exempted from the scope of Section 144. Security is tight across the city. The situation in the district is normal. Curfew was imposed in the district after the violence last Wednesday, which was relaxed yesterday. Incidentally, the Gopalganj Municipal Park area turned into a battlefield after the attack on the convoy of NCP leaders on their way back from the rally last Wednesday. Later, the district administration imposed Section 144 in the district. After that, a 22-hour curfew was initially imposed in the district. Since then, the curfew time is being extended in phases.
