However, the police did not find the victim or the robber when they went to the spot. He said, “So far, no victim has come to the police station. Even then, the police have started investigating. CCTV footage of the scene and the surrounding area has been collected. After reviewing them, efforts will be made to identify the kidnapper and bring him under the law.’ When asked about this, Dhanmondi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Cashinyu Marma said, ‘After midnight, the pressure of trucks is high at Russell Square intersection. Besides, there are many night coach stands around Russell Square. These buses leave for different districts outside Dhaka at night. The traffic police members present were busy controlling the vehicles. The police members may not have noticed the youth with a chapati.’ In the video circulating on social media, a kidnapper wearing black pants is seen threatening a young man wearing a white shirt with a chapati. At one stage, the kidnapper crossed the road with the bag and left the scene. At that time, a few traffic police members were busy controlling traffic on the road. The kidnapper was seen walking in front of them with a chapati. There were several people at the scene at the time of the robbery, but everyone was watching silently.
