Football’s governing body FIFA has announced that ticket sales for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be held in Mexico, the United States and Canada will begin on September 10. Fans are invited to register their interest on FIFA’s website. The announcement came on Tuesday (July 15) local time, a day after the conclusion of the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States. Football’s top governing body has called the tournament an “unprecedented success”. FIFA President Gianni Infantino said in a statement: “We look forward to welcoming the world to Canada, Mexico and the United States for what will be the biggest and most prestigious sporting event in history.” “We are asking fans around the world to get ready to secure their tickets – these will be the most coveted seats in world sport.” FIFA did not provide details on the ticket distribution, but pre-registered fans will be able to “apply for the first chance to purchase tickets” from September 10. The organization said, “There will be different stages of ticket sales, starting from September 10, 2025, until the final match on July 19, 2026. Each stage may have different purchase processes, payment methods and ticket types. Details of each stage will be announced in the coming months.”
