15 districts including Dhaka to witness storms with speeds of up to 60 kmph by evening

The Meteorological Office has issued a warning of storms and thunderstorms with speeds of up to 60 kmph over 15 districts of the country including Dhaka. This information was given in a warning issued for the country’s inland river ports until 6 pm on Tuesday (July 15). The notification signed by meteorologist Md. Omar Farooq said that temporary gusty or squally winds of 45 to 60 kmph may blow from the south or southeast over Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Dhaka, Faridpur, Kushtia, Jessore, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Comilla, Noakhali, Chittagong and Sylhet districts. Along with this, rain or thunderstorms may occur. Therefore, river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1. Meanwhile, according to another bulletin from the Meteorological Office, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds may occur temporarily in all parts of the country till the evening. Along with this, moderate to heavy rainfall may occur at some places in the country. This situation may continue throughout the week across the country.
