The statue of the Projanmo Chattar in Shahbagh has been demolished

The structure of the Projanmo Chattar in Shahbagh in the capital has been demolished. Someone demolished it with a bulldozer late on Saturday (July 12). A bulldozer was brought in in the dark of night and the structure of the Projanmo Chattar was demolished. The incident has led to mixed reactions among the locals. However, no official statement has been received regarding who demolished it or whether it was done on the orders of any authority. Incidentally, this ‘Projanmo Chattar’ built in Shahbagh during the 2013 Ganajagaran movement became a symbol of the spirit of the Liberation War and the demand for the trial of war criminals. The sculpture retained the memory of that movement.
