Home Affairs Advisor Sohag murder case to be sent to speedy trial tribunal
Home Affairs Advisor Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that steps are being taken to send the case of the brutal murder of a scrap metal trader named Md. Sohag (39) in front of Mitford Hospital in Old Dhaka to a speedy trial tribunal. He made this known at a briefing after the meeting of the Law and Order Committee at the Secretariat on Sunday (July 13) afternoon. The Home Affairs Advisor said that the incident of the murder of a businessman in Mitford is very sad. So far, 7 people have been arrested in this incident. Steps are being taken to try this murder in a speedy trial tribunal. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury also made it clear that no one will be spared in this murder case due to political or any other identity. At that time, the Home Affairs Advisor also said that the law and order forces want to complete preparations by next December, keeping the elections in view.
