Indian fighter jet crashes

An Indian Air Force fighter jet has crashed in Rajasthan’s Churu, it has been reported. NDTV reported this in a report on Wednesday (July 9). The pilot of the aircraft has been killed in the accident, it was initially reported. Citing defence sources, news agency ANI reported that the aircraft – a Jaguar fighter jet – crashed near Bhanuda village in Ratangarh district and the wreckage is still burning. It is not yet known whether the aircraft crashed during an operation or during training. Rajasthan has several air force bases, including one in Jodhpur and another in Bikaner. Earlier, in April, an IAF Jaguar fighter jet crashed near Jamnagar in Gujarat.
