Bomb-like object found in Mohammadpur, surrounded by Bomb Disposal Unit

Two petrol bomb-like objects were found in front of a shop named ‘Sasya Prabartana’ on Sir Syed Road in Mohammadpur in the capital. Police have cordoned off the area. The bomb disposal unit of CTTC is working at the scene.

Around 11:30 pm on Friday, DMP’s Mohammadpur Zone Assistant Police Commissioner AKM Mehedi Hasan said that the two objects have been cordoned off on the north side of Mohammadpur’s Prabartana. Along with the police, the bomb disposal unit of DB and CTTC is working.

When asked whether the two objects were petrol bombs or hand bombs, the police officer said that the two objects were 10 inches long, wrapped in thread, and contained petrol. They would burn if they came into contact with fire.
