How is Mirza Fakhrul doing in the hospital, it has been revealed
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s physical condition is improving. He will return home from the hospital soon, said his assistant Yunus Ali.
Yunus Ali told BSS on Wednesday evening, “Sir (Mirza Fakhrul)’s physical condition is better than before. However, doctors have advised him to rest for a few more days. He will return home from the hospital in a day or two.”
On the other hand, BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan said, “The party’s Secretary General is now very healthy. He has sought prayers from the countrymen for his recovery.”
Mirza Fakhrul was admitted to the United Hospital in Gulshan in the capital on Sunday morning after suddenly feeling unwell.
BNP’s media cell informed that the BNP Secretary General is undergoing treatment under the supervision of United Hospital’s Chief Cardiology Consultant Professor NAM Momenuzzaman. His wife Rahat Ara Begum and younger daughter Mirza Safaru are by his side in the hospital.
Doctors at the hospital said that Mirza Fakhrul’s sodium level had decreased and he was having difficulty breathing due to coughing and congestion in his chest. As a result, he was feeling very weak. Later, on the advice of the doctor, he was immediately admitted to the hospital. After being admitted to the hospital, various tests were also done on his heart condition. He is now healthy.
Reliable BNP sources said that BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is constantly checking on Mirza Fakhrul over the phone from London, UK.
On Tuesday, BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas and Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi went to the hospital to inquire about the party’s Secretary General’s health.
