Explosion due to gas leakage in Narayanganj, 8 burnt
An explosion occurred due to gas leakage in Chashara, Narayanganj. Eight people, including a child, were burned. The injured have been admitted to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
They were admitted to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in the early hours of Monday morning.
Resident Surgeon of the Burn Institute Dr. Shaon Bin Rahman said, “Eight people were burned in the explosion due to gas leakage. The percentage of their burns is not yet known. Each is undergoing treatment in the emergency department of the burn unit. Most of them are in critical condition.”
The injured are – Sohag (23), Rupali (20), Samia (10), Jannat (4), Hannan (50), Sabbir (12), Sumia (one and a half years old) and Nurjahan (35).
It is learned that a gas line explosion occurred in the tin shed room of the house of Ibrahim, Chairman Office No. 2 of Chashara, Narayanganj district, at around 3:30 am on Sunday. Eight injured people were brought to the burn unit around 4:30 am.
