What RAB said about the nationwide security measures
RAB Director General Additional IGP AKM Shahidur Rahman said that security measures have been further strengthened to prevent theft, robbery, murder and robbery across the country. He said this after inspecting RAB patrols and check posts in Matuail, Jatrabari in the capital at around 2 am on Saturday.
The RAB Director General said, “RAB is also conducting operations in different parts of the country along with other law enforcement agencies to maintain law and order in order to suppress crime. Recently, some miscreants and vested interests are trying to create panic in the public by deteriorating the law and order situation in the country through attacks and sabotage.”
He said that theft, robbery, robbery, extortion, and other brutal attacks and attacks on ordinary people are being carried out in different parts of the country. RAB forces are also conducting operations in different parts of the country along with other law enforcement agencies to suppress these crimes.
“Meanwhile, all RAB battalions are conducting robust patrolling in their respective areas of responsibility. Activities are being conducted by deploying additional patrols non-stop to ensure security in risky and important areas,” added AKM Shahidur Rahman.
The RAB Director General said that the battalions are coordinating with other law enforcement agencies through their own control rooms to monitor the security situation in Dhaka and the entire country round the clock. Security has been strengthened by setting up check posts and conducting searches in coordination with other law enforcement agencies at various places across the country. In addition, the RAB Bomb Disposal Unit and Dog Squad have been kept ready at all times for any emerging situation.

Since February 10, RAB has arrested a total of 180 suspects, including 40 from the capital, 25 from Mymensingh, 24 from Rajshahi, 17 from Sylhet, and 15 from Narayanganj, and recovered weapons and ammunition. In addition, RAB’s intelligence surveillance and various activities are continuing to prevent any kind of sabotage and violence, including maintaining normal law and order across the country, AKM Shahidur Rahman said.
