    Barca gave Valencia 7 goals

Barcelona were on fire after losing four consecutive La Liga matches. Hansi Flick’s men thrashed Valencia 7-1.

Fermin Lopes scored a brace at home on Sunday night. Robert Lewandowski, Rafinha, Frenkie de Jong and Ferran Torres scored one each. The other was a Valencia own goal.

Barcelona took the lead with the first good opportunity in the third minute. Lamine Yamal crossed into the D-box, avoiding the challenge of two defenders with a flick of his foot. The defenseless De Jong took control of the ball with his first touch and lay down and found the net near the post. Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili had nothing to do.

Later, Torres doubled the lead in the eighth minute. He found the address with his first touch, avoiding the challenge of the defender who was stuck with Alejandro Balde’s excellent cross.

Barcelona increased the gap further in the 14th minute from a counter-attack. Lopes received the ball on Yamal’s backheel. The youngster found Rafinha with his first touch. Seeing the danger, Mamardashvili stepped out of the D-box. The Brazilian forward avoided him and found the net with a cross-field shot.

And in the 24th minute, Lopes made it 4-0. The youngster took control of Pau Kubersi’s extended ball from midfield with his first touch and sent it into the net with a powerful shot. The referee initially signaled offside. Later, with the help of VAR, he blew the goal whistle.

Lopes found the net again in the fourth minute of added time. Rafinha’s bullet-speed shot hit the intersection of the crossbar and the post, giving Lopes a chance. He ran and found the net with a low shot.

After the break, Valencia reduced the gap in the 59th minute, going against the flow of the game. Duro found the net from close range on Diego Lopez’s cross.

However, Barcelona went ahead again by 5 goals in the 66th minute. After receiving the ball from Lopez, Lewandowski, who had replaced Rafinha a little earlier, found the net with a cross shot.

In the 75th minute, the Valencia goalkeeper again blocked Torres’ shot; but the danger was not completely over. Cesar Tarrega sent the Barcelona forward’s shot into his own net when he tried to block the return ball.

Barcelona returned to third place with 42 points from 21 matches in the league. Real Madrid is at the top with 49 points, Atletico Madrid is second with 45 points. Valencia is at number 19 with 16 points.
