Barca lost to Getafe.

Barcelona have once again lost their rhythm in La Liga. This time, despite taking an early lead, Hansi Flick’s side were held to a 1-1 draw at bottom club Getafe.

Jules Kunde gave the visitors the lead in their first league match of the new year, with Mauro Arambari equalising in the first half. As a result, Barca have dropped points in seven of their last eight league matches. They have lost four, drawn three and won one.

Barcelona took the lead with the first crucial chance in the ninth minute. Kunde’s first attempt into the box from Pedri’s pass was blocked by the goalkeeper, but he was unable to control the ball and the French defender headed it wide.

However, against the flow of the game, Getafe equalised in the 34th minute. Coba da Costa’s volley from inside the box was saved with one hand by goalkeeper Inaki Pena, but the ball fell to Arambari, who was close to the net.

Barcelona is in third place with 39 points from 20 matches, 12 wins and 3 draws. Real Madrid is in second place with 43 points, having played one match less. Atletico is in 16th place with 20 points from 20 matches.
