Explosion in gas line in Habiganj, 4 workers died
An explosion occurred in the gas substation line of Akij Group in Bahubale, Habiganj. 4 workers were killed and 2 others were injured.
The incident took place around 9 am today, Tuesday.
Bahubale Police Station OC Jahedul Islam confirmed the matter.
He said, “The explosion occurred around 9 am. Two people died on the spot. Four of them were sent to MAG Osmani Medical in Sylhet with serious injuries. I heard that two more died on the way to Osmani Medical.”
The OC also said that the condition of two of them was critical in the incident.
Identities of two of the deceased have been confirmed. The names are Mizan Gazi and Mahfuz. Both were working as workers in the factory. Their homes are in Chandpur.
