Fire in Karail Slum Under Control.
A fire that broke out in the Bau-Bazar slum in Karail, Dhaka, has been successfully brought under control by the Fire Service and Civil Defense. Seven units of the Fire Service worked tirelessly to extinguish the flames, bringing the situation under control within an hour.
The fire started around 4:15 pm on Wednesday. Upon receiving the alert, five units of the Fire Service were dispatched to the scene. However, their arrival was delayed due to traffic congestion. The first unit reached the site at 4:39 pm and immediately began efforts to contain the fire.
According to Fire Service Duty Officer Rakibul Islam, the fire was brought under control at approximately 5:12 pm. Despite this, the fire had not been fully extinguished at the time of reporting. The extent of the damage is still unclear, but thankfully, no casualties have been reported.
The Fire Service is continuing its efforts to ensure the situation is fully under control, and investigations into the cause of the fire are underway.
