Pelosi blames Biden for Kamala’s loss

Former Speaker of the United States Congress and influential Democrat Nancy Pelosi has blamed President Joe Biden for the loss of Kamala Harris in the US presidential election.

She said, if President Joe Biden had withdrawn from the election earlier, his party could have done better in last Tuesday’s vote. This information is known from a report of the British media BBC.

The party gets the chance to secure the party nomination by campaigning and participating in debates for several months in open primaries. Parties typically do not hold primaries for incumbent presidents, so when Joe Biden announced he would run for a second term, his party did not consider anyone else.

Pelosi said, “If the president ran first, other candidates might have entered the race.” The expectation was that there would be an open primary if the president stepped down.

Four months before the election, the party quickly agreed to run Vice President Kamala Harris when Biden stepped down after a disastrous debate with Donald Trump. At that time, Harris was quickly endorsed as a candidate by Joe Biden. Nancy Pelosi also criticized him. Although at the same time, it was not easy to organize primaries then.

Pelosi, however, said she believes Kamala Harris would have done well in the primary and come out with a stronger position. He also thinks it would have yielded other Democratic candidates who would have been better nominees.
