Three new faces in the Spain team
Mark Casado got a chance in Spain national team for the first time. The 21-year-old defensive midfielder was awarded for his excellent performance for Barcelona.
Spain coach Luis de la Fuente announced the team for the two matches coming in the Nations League on Friday. Where he took three new faces including Casado. Two others new to the 26-man squad are Porto’s 20-year-old forward Samu Omorodione and Athletic Bilbao’s 24-year-old defender Aiter Paredes.
The winners of Euro 2024 will face Denmark on November 15 and Switzerland on November 18.
In the Nations League, Spain has confirmed the ticket to the quarter-finals in the fourth group of the ‘A’ league with two matches in hand. They are at the top with 10 points in 4 matches.
Denmark is second with 7 points, Serbia is third with 4 points. And at the bottom, Switzerland’s achievement is 1 point. The top two teams in the group will qualify.
