Joint force raids in Keranitek slum, huge amount of drugs seized
A large quantity of narcotics, cash worth Tk 22 lakh and 40 people involved in drug dealing have been arrested in the operation of joint forces in Keranitek Basti of Tongir.
In the operation which started at 3.30 pm on Sunday, the joint forces recovered a large amount of drugs including ganja, phensidyl, yaba, domestic weapons, cash worth Tk 22 lakh 81 thousand 300 from some houses of the slum.
According to the army, this operation was conducted on the basis of secret information.
In addition to the army, RAB, BGB and police coordinated operations. Where about 550 members of the law and order forces participated. The proceedings against the arrested are going on.
