    ‘Dana’ is approaching, It may hit on Thursday

    The low pressure created in the North Andaman Sea near the Bay of Bengal may accumulate energy and develop into a cyclone ‘Dana’ by tomorrow Wednesday or Thursday, the Meteorological Department said.

    This was said in the weather forecast for the next 72 hours on Monday.

    The forecast says that if the low pressure turns into a cyclone, its name will be ‘Dana’. This name is given by Qatar. Cyclone wing may hit India’s West Bengal and Bangladesh’s Khulna division.

    According to the Cyclone Alert of the Meteorological Agency, a depression will form over the ocean on October 23. It will become a strong cyclone by October 23 or 24. If the cyclone hits any coast of Barisal and Khulna divisions, its speed may be 100-120 km per hour. If the cyclone hits the coast during high tide, there is a risk of inundation with tides 6 to 8 feet higher than normal. However, if the cyclone hits the coast during low tide, there is a risk of inundation with tides 2 to 4 feet higher than normal.

    On the other hand, if this cyclone hits Odisha in India, its speed may be 130-150 km per hour. The West Bengal Meteorological Department said that the sea has already become rough in Odisha and West Midnapore.

    Meanwhile, the weather forecast for tomorrow (Wednesday) has said that rain/thunder may occur in most parts of Khulna and Barisal divisions and some parts of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions.
