Woman’s dead body was recovered at Sabuj Bagh
The police recovered the strangled body of a woman named Sanam Akhter Priya (30) from a house in Dakshingaon, Sabuj Bagh of the capital.
The body was recovered from a room on the ground floor of a two-storied building next to Dakshingaon Shahi Mosque on Monday afternoon.
According to the police, the deceased Priya Magura is the daughter of Mannu Biswas Chunnu and Chitra Begum of Chadpur village in Sadar upazila. He used to work as a tailor in Mouchak Market area. And he lived alone in that house.
Deputy Inspector (SI) of Sabuj Bagh Police Station. Rakibul Islam said, “On Monday afternoon, while sweeping, the maid saw Priya’s bloody condition in the room by knocking on the locked door. He immediately informed the owner of the house. When they informed the police station, we went and saw the dead body.
He said, “The information was not available due to the lack of relatives of the deceased.” The news was given to his house.
The SI said, the body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Hospital Morgue for autopsy. An investigation is being conducted into who or what caused Priya to kill her. Initially, it is believed that this murder may have been done on Sunday night.
