They have to be judged by the law they made

Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman asked them to be judged according to the laws and regulations that were created during the regime of the fallen Awami League.

Regarding the trial of genocide in the student movement, he said that justice should be established as soon as possible and Awami League should be given its due. He said these things at the Jamaat’s Rukon Conference at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Agargaon on Sunday. Dhaka Metropolitan North Branch of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami organized this conference.

Amir of Jamaat said, we do not want injustice and torture on anyone. They should be judged by the rules and regulations that Awami League had made for a long time. They used to say that the law is equal for all and the judiciary is independent. They are entitled to equal benefits under that law. May they get what they deserve.

Shafiqur Rahman said, now no one dares to take their names. Those who join their party also don’t want to take the name of the party. Why do we take their name from oppressed people? He said, there is a history of banning their own party. When they established a one-party system, they banned all parties including theirs. This time people have banned their party. We hoped they would learn. They could have found a way out of shame and apologized to the nation. Instead of doing that they are trying to bring down Ansar League, Justice League, League of this demand, League of that demand.

Amir of Jamaat said that recently they are trying to come back in another form. Beard, hat. The aim is to deceive the religious people of the country and send a message to the world – they did not allow extremism to grow as long as they were in power. They are no longer there, there is extremism. But they are the ones who have given hammers to their children and put helmets on their heads. There is no bigger extremist and terrorist than them (Awami League) in Bangladesh. Their rule was full of extremism and terror. Jamaat hates terrorism.

Dr. to the leaders and activists of the party. Shafiqur Rahman said, we want to form a united nation in the future. Therefore, unlimited patience should be shown. He said, on October 28, 2006, Bangladesh’s humanity, democracy, people’s aspirations were killed through the stay program. Bangladesh really lost its way that day. After 17 and a half years of sacrifices, we are back on August 5, 2024.

Amir of Jamaat said that they ruled the country for 15 and a half years. Within 2 months of coming to power they killed 57 smart and patriotic, promising army officers. The initiative they have taken to investigate the incident is to deceive the people and hide the behind the scenes heroes, orderlies, miscreants. Members of the media held their hand puppets and offerings.

Dr. Shafikur said – he wanted to know from a murderer, who is the hero of this conspiracy? In response, the murderer’s name was Mo. That murderer became a patriot. Assassins reigned supreme. They damage two armies at once. BDR’s name was deleted much to the dismay of the army. Therefore, the heroes and heroines behind the BDR murder will also have to pay the price of the crime.

Amir of Jamaat said that after the killing of BDR, they started attacking Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. Because they knew, Jamaat is not willing to hand over the independence and sovereignty of the country to anyone. So the top leaders of Jamaat were ousted by judicial killing. At present the slogan of Rajpath is ‘We want justice’ – the slogan of Jamaat is also ‘We want justice’.
