    Waterlogging has occurred in the capital due to rain

    It has been raining in the capital since Thursday morning. Due to the rain, the roads in many areas of the capital have been submerged in water.

    Deep convective clouds have formed over the North Bay of Bengal and coastal areas of Bangladesh under the influence of monsoon. As a result, it is raining all over the country. Waterlogging has occurred on various roads of the capital due to continuous rain since Wednesday afternoon. Common people are suffering.

    Although the rain is not very heavy, the city dwellers have suffered on the last working day of the week. In many places vehicles were not available on time. Even if you get a vehicle, you have to pay more rent.

    Anik Hossain left for Tejgaon office from Basila  in the morning. He said, due to the rain, waterlogging has occurred on many roads. Adequate public transport is not available. And the rickshaw is asking for a lot of fare.

    Meteorologist Md. Hafizur Rahman said that 28 millimeters of rain fell in the capital from 6 pm to 9 pm on Wednesday. Low pressure may occur in the sea today. Due to this, the trend of rainfall may increase in the next two to three days.

    Meanwhile, heavy rains have submerged various areas of the capital and many cars have broken down on the roads, causing traffic jams. For this reason, the traffic department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has requested the residents of the capital to take time to go to various destinations.

    The localities mentioned by the traffic department are- Fakirapool, Nayapaltan, Baitul Mokarram, Shantinagar, Malibag Mor, Arambagh, Pragati Sarani, New Market, Dhanmondi Rapa Plaza, Bangshal, Mirpur Rokeya Sarani, Dayaganj Mor, Syedabad Bus Terminal, Nimatoli, Toynbee Circle Road, Dhanmondi 27, Elephant Road, Matsya Bhavan, Kaowran Bazar, Vijay Sarani, Dhaka Gate VIP Road and Mirpur Mazar Road.
