Abdur Rauf, The former MP of Kushtia has been arrested
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested Abdur Rauf, former Member of Parliament of Kushtia-4 Constituency (Kumarkhali-Khoksa).
He was arrested from Mirpur area of Dhaka on Tuesday night.
ASP ANM Imran Khan, Assistant Director of Legal and Media Wing of RAB Headquarters, confirmed this information.
Incidentally, in the 2014 10th National Parliament election, Abdur Rauf was elected as a member of parliament from Kushtia-4 constituency as an Awami League candidate. Before becoming a Member of Parliament, he was the Chairman of Kumarkhali Upazila Parishad.
Later he was elected Member of Parliament as an independent candidate from Kushtia-4 Constituency in 2024 12th National Parliament Election.
