Youth shot in Khulna
A youth named Rana was seriously injured in a shooting by miscreants in Khulna. He is said to be the son of Hossain Gazi, a resident of Teligati area of Aranghata police station. Miscreants shot him at around 7:45 pm on Wednesday (January 7) in the Jabdipur Bazar area of Khanjahan Ali police station. Police recovered a country-made shutter gun along with bullets from the scene. The injured youth is currently undergoing treatment at Khulna Medical College Hospital.
Khanjahan Ali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Hawlader Sanwar Hossain Masum said, “Yesterday at around 7:45 pm, miscreants shot Rana in Jabdipur Bazar. The bullet hit his left hand and back. Locals rescued him and took him to Khulna Medical College Hospital for treatment. However, while fleeing from the scene, the miscreants left behind a country-made shutter gun and cartridges. Police recovered it from the scene. After the incident, the police have launched a drive to arrest the miscreants, the police official said.
