Youth shot dead with pistol in head

A youth named Imran Munshi (32) was shot dead in Khulna. The incident took place at Customs Ghat intersection number 1 in the city around 7:30 pm on Monday (October 6).
Khulna Police Station OC Md. Shafiqul Islam confirmed the incident.
It is learned that the deceased Imran Munshi is the son of Babul Munshi of Munshibari in Madaripur district. He currently lived in a rented house in the second lane of Munshipara in the city. He was an active member of the top terrorist Grenade Babu group in Khulna. He was also involved in the brick and sand business.
Local sources and police told us that Imran was heading towards Notun Bazar around 7:30 pm. On the way, three youths on a motorcycle stopped him and shot him with pistols in his head. He died on the spot.
Khulna Sadar Police Station Assistant Inspector (SI) Abdul Hai said, “The deceased Imran Munshi was an active member of the terrorist Grenade Babu group. He was killed by members of another top terrorist, Palash Group. After killing him, the miscreants rode a motorcycle towards the police line. We are trying to collect video footage from various places to identify and arrest those involved in this incident.” Khulna Sadar Police Station OC Shafiqul Islam said, “Around 7:30 pm, some youths chased Imran Munshi at Custom Ghat No. 1 in the city and shot him in the head. He was killed on the spot. Upon receiving the information, senior officials of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) visited the scene.” The OC said that there are multiple cases, including murder, against the deceased Imran Munshi. However, it is not initially known why and who killed him.
