Youth sentenced to one month in prison for creating chaos at oil pump in Chuadanga
A mobile court has sentenced a youth named Md. Sifat Hossain to one month in prison for creating chaos at an oil pump in Jibannagar, Chuadanga. Five people have also been fined. Chuadanga District Administration Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Jamir Uddin conducted the operation at Jibannagar filling station on Monday (April 13) morning.
According to the mobile court sources, Md. Sifat Hossain, son of Shafiqul Islam of Teltupi village of Maheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah district, has been sentenced to one month in prison under the relevant section of the Penal Code of 1860 for creating chaos at an oil pump. In addition, Md. Sikandar Ali of Jibannagar, Biplob Karmakar, Mohammad Yasin Ali of Tentulia village and Md. Mosharraf Hossain was fined Tk 1,000 each for a total of Tk 4,000.
On the other hand, Mohammad Shahin Uddin of Banka village in Jibannagar was fined Tk 5,000 under the relevant section of the Road Transport Act 2018. In this regard, Chuadanga District Administration Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Zamir Uddin said that one person was sentenced to imprisonment for creating chaos at an oil pump and five people were fined for various crimes.
