Youth killed in clash between two parties at Geneva Camp

A youth named Md. Zahid (20) was killed in a cocktail explosion during a clash between two parties at Mohammadpur Geneva Camp. He worked at a mobile servicing shop.
The incident took place on Thursday (October 23) at around 3:15 am.
He was rescued in a seriously injured condition and taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead at 4:15 am.
DMCH Police Station Acting Inspector Md. Faruk confirmed the incident. He said, “The body of the youth has been kept in the hospital morgue for autopsy. The matter has been reported to the concerned police station.”
The deceased’s sister-in-law Robin Hossain Ujjal said that her sister-in-law Zahid worked as a mobile servicing worker at Mizan Tower in Kalyanpur.
He said that the clash between the two parties took place inside the Geneva Camp before the Fajr Azan. At that time, when Zahid came out of the house and walked forward, a cocktail bomb hit his head. He was seriously injured. Later, he was quickly rescued from there and first taken to the local trauma center. From there, he was quickly taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead after examination. Zahid is the son of the Irani who was killed in the Geneva camp. He was the youngest of five sisters and two brothers.
