Youth killed in bus accident
A cyclist died after being hit by a passenger bus in Kazipur, Sirajganj. The accident occurred at around 12 noon today, Monday (September 29) in the Chalbhara Shyampur area of the Meghai-Sonamukhi regional road of the upazila.
After the accident, the angry crowd vandalized and set fire to the bus named Aankhi Paribahan. The identities of the deceased were not immediately known.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kazipur Police Station Md. Noor Alam told us that after the accident, the locals got agitated and set the bus on fire. On receiving the information, the police quickly reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
