Youth arrested in Rangpur for murdering freedom fighter and his wife

Police have arrested a youth in Taraganj, Rangpur, in connection with the murder of freedom fighter Yogesh Chandra Roy and his wife Suborna Roy. Morsalin was arrested from his house in Khiar Jumma area of ​​Taraganj upazila early on Thursday (December 11).
The arrested teenager has been named Morsalin (23). He is a first-year BA student of Taraganj Degree College. Police said he was arrested with the help of information technology. District Superintendent of Police Marufat Hossain said that important information was obtained during the initial interrogation. Morsalin also spoke about the Chinese axe used in the murder. We will go with him to recover the weapon. A briefing will be held later to explain why the murder took place.
Earlier, last Sunday (December 6), police recovered the bloody bodies of freedom fighter Yogesh Chandra Roy, a retired headmaster of Kursha Union Muktijoddha Command Council, and his wife Subarna Roy from the kitchen of the dining room of their house in East Rahimapur, Taraganj. The next day, after the autopsy on Monday, freedom fighter Yogesh Chandra Roy was cremated with state honours at the Chakla crematorium. His wife Subarna Roy was also cremated at the same crematorium. In this incident, his elder son Shoven Chanda Roy filed a murder case at Taraganj Police Station.
