Bangladesh’s position in the world’s strongest passports list released.
Bangladesh has slipped three places in the world’s strongest passport index in 2025. Bangladesh’s position is now 100th in terms of the strongest passport. Bangladesh was ranked 97th in last year’s index. This time, Libya and Palestine are in the same position with Bangladesh.
This information was revealed in the index published by the UK-based company Henley & Partners on Wednesday. In this case, the company has taken into account passports from 199 countries and 227 travel destinations in the world.
Libya and Palestine are jointly ranked 100th with Bangladesh in the list of strongest passports this year. In the quarterly edition of last year, Bangladesh’s passport was ranked 97th in this list. In the index published on January 10 of the same year, Bangladesh was ranked 101st.
The Henley & Partners creates the strongest passport index based on the number of countries that a country’s passport can enter without a visa or with an on-arrival visa. This year, Henley has ranked 106 countries in the world, as some countries tied for the 199th position in the index.
For the past 19 years, the organization has been publishing rankings every year on how powerful a country’s passport is. This index is published every three months.
Singapore has taken the top spot in the index of the world’s most powerful passports in this year’s Henley index. Its citizens can travel to 195 destinations around the world without a visa or with an on-arrival visa.
Japan is in second place in this index. Its citizens can travel to 193 countries without a visa or with an on-arrival visa.
In addition, citizens of Finland, France, Germany, Italy, South Korea and Spain, which are jointly in third place, can enter 192 countries without a visa or with an on-arrival visa.
