Winter has begun in Panchagarh, temperature drops to 16 degrees
Due to icy winds and light fog blowing from the northern Himalayan region, winter has begun in Tentulia, an upazila on the northern border of the country. The cold is increasing as the day progresses and the feeling of this cold remains clear till morning. The temperature in the district has dropped by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius in the last few days, the Meteorological Office said.
Today, Sunday (November 9), at 6 am, a temperature of 16.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Tentulia in Panchagarh. At that time, the humidity of the air was 98 percent. Tentulia Meteorological Office officer Jitendra Nath Roy said that the weather in Tentulia has been changing for the last few days. Especially in the evening and early morning, a slight cold is felt. He also said, “The minimum temperature recorded in Tentulia in Panchagarh at 6 am today was 16.6 degrees Celsius.” From now on, the temperature in Tentulia may gradually decrease further every day.
Meanwhile, the sudden drop in temperature has caused problems for ordinary working people. Especially the suffering of stone workers, daily wage workers, rickshaw pullers and workers who work outside in the early hours of the morning has increased. Locals said that winter weather is already blowing with thick fog and cold winds in the morning. A forecast by the Meteorological Office has said that the temperature may drop slightly from the second week of November. As a result, the effect of winter will gradually increase in the northern parts of the country.
