Winter begins in Tentulia, temperature 12.8 degrees
Tentulia in Panchagarh district, bordering the northern region, has been experiencing severe cold. Due to dense fog, the sun is not visible during the day. The intensity of the cold is increasing due to cold winds. The lowest temperature was recorded in Tentulia today (November 25) at 9 am. The humidity in the air was 79 percent at this time.
Basically, fog and dew fall since dawn, which disrupts normal life due to cold. The intensity of the cold also increases with the evening. According to locals, winter usually begins in early November. However, winter has been coming earlier for several years.
Meanwhile, with the arrival of new paddy, the joy of Navanna is spreading in the district. The aroma of new paddy in the fields and various types of pitha-puli has spread a festive atmosphere in rural towns. As evening falls, food lovers are crowding the pie shops in the market. On the other hand, despite the intense cold, working people are going out to work since morning for their livelihood. The presence of workers in tea gardens, mines and river ghat areas was noticeable.
However, as winter progresses, cold-related diseases like pneumonia, cold and cough and asthma are increasing among children and the elderly. Doctors also said that the number of patients in the Upazila Health Complex has increased compared to last week.
Tentulia First Class Meteorological Observation Officer Jitendra Nath Roy said that winter comes early in this region due to its proximity to the Himalayas-Kanchenjunga. Today, the temperature was recorded at 9 am and 6 am at 12.8 degrees Celsius. So far, the temperature has not come below 12.6 degrees.
