Who will face whom in the Champions League quarter-finals?
The new Champions League started with 36 teams. From there, the group stage, play-offs and last-16 matches have been completed. Now it’s the turn of the top eight teams. The teams will play the first leg on April 8 and 9 and the return leg of the last eight on April 15 and 16.
Four teams confirmed their quarter-finals the previous day. On Wednesday night, Real Madrid and four other teams confirmed their top eight. After that, it was confirmed who would face whom in the quarter-finals.
Last year’s runner-up German club Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League will play against Spanish giants and five-time champions Barcelona. On the other hand, six-time champion German giants Bayern Munich will play against Italian club Inter Milan.
Real Madrid, the most-capped team in the tournament, is 15-time champion. The obstacle in their fight to reach the semi-finals is English Premier League club Arsenal. French giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will face another Premier League club, Aston Villa.
