‘Those who do not accept the country’s independence are telling lies about BNP’
BNP Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu said, ‘Those who do not believe in the independence of the country are the ones who are lying in the name of BNP. The party that gets respectable votes when in an alliance, and gets a handful of votes when it goes to the elections alone. The leaders of this party only have power, not votes. They try to attract people with melodious slogans. On the other hand, BNP claims the rights of the people and works for the development of the country.’
He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the divisional workers’ rally of the Nationalist Ulama Party at the Rangpur Shilpakala Academy auditorium on Saturday afternoon.
Shamsuzzaman Dudu said, ‘The autocratic Awami League government has insulted the country’s Ulama, disrespected them and sent many to prison without any crime. For this, everyone should come together and take a strong role and take BNP forward. We have to work for the rice grains in the next election.’
Presided over by Maulana Kazi Selim Reza, President of the Ulama Party’s Central Committee, the program was also addressed by BNP Divisional Organizing Secretary Principal Asadul Habib Dulu, Rangpur District BNP Convener Saiful Islam, Member Secretary Anisur Rahman Laku, Metropolitan BNP Convener Shamsuzzaman Samu, Member Secretary Mahfuz Un Nabi Don, Nationalist Ulama Party Central Senior Joint Convener Maulana Alamgir Hossain, Joint Convener Qari Maulana Golam Mostafa, Joint Convener Maulana Delwar Hossain, and leaders and activists of the Nationalist Ulama Party from eight districts.
