What Sarjis said after assuming new responsibility

In view of the upcoming local government elections, the National Citizens Party (NCP) has formed an election management committee. NCP’s northern chief organizer Sarjis Alam has been appointed as the president of the committee. He announced the start of the activities immediately after assuming responsibility.
The NCP’s Local Government Election Management Committee released this information in a press release signed by NCP Office Cell member Sadia Farzana Dinar on Monday night (February 23). The release said that in view of the upcoming local government elections, the ‘Local Government Election Management Committee’ has been formed on the instructions of NCP convener Md. Nahid Islam and member secretary Akhtar Hossain.
NCP’s senior joint chief coordinator and MP from Noakhali-6 constituency Abdul Hannan Masud has been appointed as member secretary in the newly formed committee. In addition, Ariful Islam Adib, Alauddin Mohammad, Tahsin Riaz and Advocate Manjila Jhuma are members. All divisional organizing secretaries will be included in this committee ex officio and will perform their duties. In addition, the leaders of the central committee and district leaders will provide overall cooperation. Later, in a status posted on Facebook, Sarjis Alam said, ‘From city corporation, municipality, upazila, union to ward; those who want to be candidates, prepare. We are coming to find you….’
