What ISPR said about the abduction of Tuli’s brother of ‘Mayer Dak’
The Directorate of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has given detailed information on the spread of news about Saiful Islam Shyamal being ‘picked up from home’ by the army on social media.
Saiful Islam Shyamal is the elder brother of Sanjida Islam Tuli, head of the organization called ‘Mayer Dak’.
In a statement, ISPR said that a person named Saiful Islam Shyamal was taken to the nearby army camp from Shaheen Bagh area of the capital on Monday at approximately 2:45 PM. There are multiple extortion charges against him. After interrogation, he was brought to his home at 4:40 pm.
The statement also said that as per the previous information, a case was registered against Saiful Islam Shyamal in Ramna police station for possession of illegal weapons and following which he was serving imprisonment. It is also known that he was arrested in another case in 2016. Saiful Islam Shyamal was taken to a nearby army camp for questioning as there were specific allegations against him.
It has also been said that Saiful Islam Shyamal is the elder brother of Sanjida Islam Tuli, the head of the organization called ‘Mayer Dak’, and various types of news have been circulated on social media about the matter. In this case, this kind of propaganda is undesirable through social media giving priority to his family identity. In this context, everyone is specially requested to cooperate with the army in controlling law and order by disseminating true information with responsibility.
