    What is the air quality in Dhaka today?

    Air pollution in the Indian capital Delhi is increasing alarmingly. Currently, the Indian capital Delhi is at the top of the air pollution list. However, the capital Dhaka is at the fifth position in the list in terms of pollution levels.

    Delhi, which is at the top of the list, has a pollution score of 260, meaning that the air there is at the ‘unhealthy’ level. Then comes the Pakistani city of Lahore. This city’s score is 241, meaning that the air quality here is also at the same level.

    Another Pakistani city, Karachi, is in third place with a score of 193. Ghana’s capital Accra is in fourth place with a score of 187 and Dhaka is in fifth place with a score of 183, which is considered ‘very unhealthy’.

    An AQI score of zero to 50 is considered good. 51 to 100 is considered tolerable or moderate. And for sensitive groups, a score of 101 to 150 is considered unhealthy.

    An AQI score of 151 to 200 is considered unhealthy. Similarly, an AQI score of 201 to 300 is considered very unhealthy. And if it is more than 301, it is considered disastrous.

    Air pollution poses serious health risks. It is harmful to people of all ages. However, air pollution is very harmful for children, sick people, the elderly and pregnant women.
