Weapons, bullets and cocktails recovered from abandoned toilet

The Bangladesh Army has recovered weapons, bullets and cocktails from an abandoned toilet in Sadarpur upazila of Faridpur. They were recovered from the toilet behind the abandoned sub-registrar’s office in the Hospital More area of ​​Sadar Union of the upazila at around 9 pm on Tuesday (January 6).
According to army and police sources, a 7.5 mm pistol wrapped in scotch tape and a round of bullets were recovered from a cloth potala during a raid based on a secret information. In addition, 4 cocktails were found inside an abandoned black bag. The recovered weapons, bullets and cocktails were later handed over to Sadarpur police station. No one has been arrested in the incident so far.
A responsible officer of the Faridpur army camp said that the army conducted a raid based on secret information and recovered them from the abandoned toilet. The seized weapons and explosives were later handed over to Sadarpur police station. He mentioned that the army is always vigilant in combating crime and terrorism. He said, “If anyone gets any information about such criminal activities, then it is requested to inform the nearest army camp or police station. Such operations will continue to ensure the safety of the lives and property of the common people.” Sadarpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Al Mamun Shah said, “The army personnel have recovered these abandoned weapons and cocktails and handed them over to the police. Further legal action is under process in this regard.”
