Weapons and bombs recovered from coaching center in Rajshahi, case filed

The police have filed a case over the recovery of arms and explosives from a coaching center called ‘Doctor’s English’ in Kadirganj, Rajshahi. The owner of the coaching center, Muntaserul Alam Anindya, and his two colleagues have been named as accused in the case. On Saturday night (August 16), Sub-Inspector Rezaul Karim of Boalia Police Station filed the case under the Arms, Explosives and Narcotics Control Act as the plaintiff. Police said that the three arrested will be produced in court today. A 7-day remand application will be filed for each of them. Incidentally, the joint forces recovered illegal arms and explosives during a raid at the coaching center on Saturday. Police said that Anindya was arrested several times before as a close associate of Shariful, the accused convicted in the Holey Artisan attack and Professor Rezaul murder cases. Anindya Awami League presidium member and former mayor Khairuzzaman Liton is his cousin. His father is the former vice-president of the metropolitan BNP.
