Weak governance is the reason for government change in Bangladesh: Ajit Doval

India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval believes that government change in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal is due to weak governance. He said that governance plays a vital role in building and protecting a nation. He said this on National Unity Day yesterday (October 31). Ajit said that governance is something that helps in achieving the goals of the state and fulfilling the aspirations of the common people.
Doval said that the big challenge of today’s administration is to keep the common people happy. Now the common people are much more aware, ambitious and their expectations from the state are higher than before. Therefore, the state has to take care of their satisfaction as well.
He said that the strength of a nation lies in its governance. When the government works through institutions, those who create and nurture these institutions play the most important role in nation building.
Doval praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance model and said that India is now entering a new orbit – a new type of governance, social structure and global position. The institutional changes brought by the current government to curb administrative corruption are having a profound impact. More steps may come in the future.
