Volunteer Party Leader Resigns from Politics by Bathing in Milk

A leader of Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila Volunteer Party has resigned after working for the party during its difficult times for almost 17 years without receiving due appreciation. Surprisingly, he resigned from the party by bathing in milk to make himself ‘pure’ and ‘sinless’. The name of the resigning leader is Mohammad Tushar Ali. He was serving as the general secretary of the Volunteer Party of Ward No. 7 of Jagannathpur Union in Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila.
The incident took place in front of his shop in Khachabari Bazar of Jagannathpur Union yesterday (November 22). After bathing in milk, he publicly announced his resignation. Mohammad Tushar Ali claimed that he had worked for the party for a long time and had been subjected to political harassment at various times. But he has not been given any kind of appreciation at present.
Explaining the reason for his resignation, Tushar Ali said, “I have endured hardship day after day during the party’s difficult times.” I have been harassed in various ways. Still, I was loyal to the party. But in the present time, when I saw that my sacrifice and hardship were worthless and I was not being appreciated, I felt that my hard work so far was in vain. This underestimation has deeply hurt me.
He also said, I felt that there may be some sins in politics till now. So I bathed in milk and purified myself and freed myself from this politics of BNP and resigned. Jagannathpur Union General Secretary Md. Rabiul Islam said, Tushar Ali was serving as the General Secretary of Ward No. 7 of Jagannathpur Union of the Volunteer Party. I still do not know why he resigned today. I will be able to tell you in detail after talking to him.
