Van driver dies after being hit by truck
A van driver named Momin (34) was killed after being hit by a truck in Joypurhat. The accident occurred on Sunday (December 14) on the paved area of the bypass road adjacent to BSCIC in Joypurhat Sadar Upazila of the district. The deceased van driver Momin is the son of Abul Hossain of Monnapara near Dharki Charmatha in Joypurhat Sadar Upazila.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred when a freight truck coming from the opposite direction hit the van from behind as it reached a certain place on the road yesterday afternoon. At that time, the truck lost control and overturned on the side of the road. In this, the van driver Momin was killed on the spot and two others were injured. One of the injured has been admitted to Joypurhat General Hospital.
