US-Syrian joint forces conduct operation in Syria. They claim to have destroyed 15 weapons depots of the Islamic State-IS militant group in the south of the country. The US military’s Central Command, CENTCOM, confirmed the matter in a statement. It said that the joint forces conducted an operation in the south of Syria from November 24 to 27. In which more than 130 mortar-rockets, many assault rifles, machine guns, anti-tank mines and bomb-making equipment were destroyed.
Recently, during a visit to the United States, Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara announced his decision to join the US-led coalition to suppress ISIS. The international terrorist group ISIS emerged during the country’s civil war in 2013. In just a year, the radical Islamist group captured large areas of southern Syria and Iraq.
