US Senator’s Warning: ‘Trump Can Kill Khamenei If Necessary’

US President Donald Trump may kill the country’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei if necessary to protect the people of Iran, Senator Lindsey Graham has warned. In an interview with Fox News on Tuesday (January 6) local time, Graham said, “I say to the ayatollahs – you have to understand that if you continue to kill your own people who are taking to the streets demanding a better life, Donald J. Trump will kill you too.”
Graham also said that change is coming in Iran and that this movement could be a major turning point in the history of the Middle East. Bloody protests have spread across the country due to Iran’s economic crisis. The United States is taking this opportunity to make various comments about the country’s internal politics. Recently, US President Khamenei warned the administration that Washington will respond harshly if protesters are attacked.
Meanwhile, the country’s judiciary has issued a message of a tough stance to suppress protests over inflation and currency crisis in Iran. Iran’s Chief Justice Gholamhossein Mohseni AJE has said that no excuse is acceptable for those who take to the streets to participate in, lead or support riots. He made it clear that the state will not tolerate such activities, signaling a tough stance by law enforcement agencies in dealing with the protests.
Amid ongoing protests across Iran, President Masoud Pajeshkian has ordered security forces not to take repressive measures against protesters. He said that a distinction must be made between peaceful protesters and armed rioters.
