US National Security Advisor telephones Chief Advisor.
US National Security Advisor Jack Sullivan telephoned Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of Bangladesh. A statement published on the website of the White House Monday local time said this.
He thanked the Chief Advisor for leading the country at a difficult time.
It said, ‘National Security Advisor Jack Sullivan spoke today with Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of Bangladesh. Sullivan thanked Yunus for leading Bangladesh during a challenging time.’
The White House, in a statement, further said, ‘Both leaders committed to upholding and protecting the human rights of all individuals regardless of religion or race. Jack Sullivan reiterated the United States’ support for a prosperous, stable, and democratic Bangladesh. He mentioned the continued support of the United States in addressing the challenges that Bangladesh will face.
