Unemployment will be eliminated if BNP comes to power: Salahuddin Ahmed

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) standing committee member and former minister Salahuddin Ahmed said that unemployment will be eliminated if BNP comes to power. He said these things at a public meeting in his area of Pekua in Cox’s Bazar-1 (Chakaria-Pekua) constituency on Thursday (December 4) morning.
Salahuddin Ahmed’s wife Advocate Hasina Ahmed and local BNP leaders and activists from various levels were present at the public meeting. On the third day of the public meeting today, he started the public meeting and campaign in favor of paddy sheesh by visiting the shrine of Maulana Zafar Shah (RA) of Magnamar in Pekua upazila. Salahuddin Ahmed said, ‘Currently, the number of unemployment in the country has increased at an alarming rate. Unemployment will be eliminated if BNP comes to power.’
He further said, ‘National leader Begum Khaleda Zia is the symbol of independence, sovereignty and unity in Bangladesh. And the symbol of democracy in this country is the sheaf of rice. Therefore, to protect this country and democracy, we have to vote with the symbol of the sheaf of rice in the next election and seek votes for the sheaf of rice.’
The BNP standing committee member said, ‘Sheikh Hasina wanted to kidnap and kill me. By the grace of Allah, I have been freed from that murder plot. I was able to return to you again because you prayed for me.’ He further said, ‘Although salt is cultivated in large quantities in the country, farmers are disappointed because they do not get fair prices. If BNP comes to power, this problem will also be resolved, InshaAllah.’
That day, he was addressing a public meeting in different areas of Magnama and Ujantia unions of Pekua upazila, his birthplace. Salahuddin Ahmed’s press secretary Safwanul Karim confirmed that he will hold mass mobilization programs in Chakaria and Matamuhuri organizational upazilas for the next two days.
