“Ukraine has shown no gratitude”—Trump accuses

Despite receiving a lot of help to end the war, Ukraine has shown no gratitude to the United States. While US and Ukrainian representatives were in Geneva to discuss a 28-point peace plan, US President Donald Trump vented his anger at Kiev on social media. The US media outlet The New York Times reported this information in a report.
Shortly after, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky posted on social media to break Trump’s arrogance. In it, he expressed gratitude to the United States, every American, and President Trump personally for saving the lives of Ukrainians. Zelensky also said that the United States received a positive response at the meeting.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that it is important to talk to the Americans and that we are getting signals that President Trump’s team is listening to us. Although no final decision was made on the US plan at the end of the talks, representatives from Washington and Kiev said that the meeting was fruitful. They also issued a joint statement.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said today’s talks were “very productive and meaningful. This was probably our most productive meeting and day since we took office in January of this year. But there is still work to be done, which our team is doing now.”
“We have made good progress and are moving towards a lasting peace. The people of Ukraine want peace. They deserve it. We are grateful to our great friend the United States, especially President Trump and his team, who are committed to this peace.” Before Washington, Kiev also met with representatives of several European countries. Diplomats from France, Britain and Germany took part in the meeting.
