UITS Celebrates Achievements of Grants from University Innovation Hub Program (UIHP)
The University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is pleased to announce the successful culmination of its participation in the University Innovation Hub Program (UIHP), the country’s largest student startup incubator. Supported by the World Bank and the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, the UIHP is a unique incubator initiative designed for all universities. Following an intensive three-month startup training program conducted from July to October 2025, six innovative student teams from UITS were selected for the final grant awards. These teams, chosen from the initial eleven UITS teams that participated in the UIHP incubator, have collectively been awarded a total grant of 170,000 BDT at the Launchpad by UIHP@UIU. All six UITS teams were successfully recognized and awarded within their respective Innovation Cohorts at the event.
UITS celebrated its six grant-winning UIHP student teams at a special event held on 20th October, 2025. The ceremony brought together high-profile attendees, including Mr. Mohamed Ali Hossain, Member of the Board of Trustees, UITS, and Director of PHP Family, and Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hashan Bhuiyan, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of UITS. Professor Dr. Siraj Uddin Ahmed, Treasurer; Mr. Sobhit Bikash Barua, PHP Family Executive Director; Mr. Numayer Amir Mizan, PHP Family Member; Mr. Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, Registrar; Engineer Md. Safaet Hossain, Director of IQAC; Mr. Abu Zafar Md. Mohsin, Additional Registrar; Mr. Md. Tarikul Islam, Proctor; Dr. Md. Mofazzal Hossain, Head of the Department of Pharmacy; and Mr. Shuvo Das, Advisor, Student Welfare & Additional Director, International Desk, were also present.
This achievement highlights UITS’s commitment to fostering a culture of student innovation and entrepreneurship.
